Pan-Lingua: Undergraduate Conference on Languages & Cultures is the next generation of the research undergraduate conference that started as SUR (Spanish Undergraduate Conference).
Although this conference started as a venue for Spanish students at the University of South Dakota in 2013, it opened its doors in 2015 to other languages. For our 2019 edition, the organizing committee decided that it was time to have a more inclusive name that better portrayed the many languages that are spoken during our regional conferences, thus, giving birth to Pan-Lingua.
The conference seeks to enhance our knowledge and understanding of the languages that we teach in our schools (including but not limited to: Dakota, German, French, Norwegian, Spanish), the history, literature, arts, and perspectives of those cultures, and to provide undergraduate students with a venue where they can disseminate research and creative work in the target language.
